Project Arbor: warehouse to manufacturing plant in Spartanburg
An empty warehouse shell plumbed into a working paper bag manufacturing plant.
The problem
A bare warehouse needed to become a working paper bag manufacturing plant, with plumbing laid out around the new tenant's floor plan and production needs.
What we found
The plant needed process drains and sinks for production, hot water for the process area, hand wash stations, safety equipment, and a new water supply to each area of the building.
What we did
- Process drains, including a trench drain set before the slab pour, and process sinks with pre-rinse faucets.
- A tank water heater serving the process area.
- New sanitary drains and point-of-use water heaters for the hand wash stations.
- Emergency shower and eyewash stations.
- New water supply to each area of the plant.
The result
A production-ready facility with process, sanitary, safety and water systems in place where the tenant needs them.
