SpringHill Suites conversion: 150 hotel bathrooms renovated in Greenville
150 guest bathrooms, 8 ADA bathrooms and the lobby restrooms renovated while the hotel stayed open.
The problem
A Holiday Inn on Woodruff Road was being converted into a SpringHill Inn & Suites, and the hotel had to stay open the whole time. Once walls were opened, problems in the original plumbing started to show up.
What we found
Behind the walls, parts of the original plumbing system had not been installed correctly. Each problem had to be fixed as the renovation moved room by room, without slowing the schedule or disturbing guests.
What we did
- Full plumbing renovation of 150 guest bathrooms, including 8 ADA-accessible bathrooms, with new copper supply rough-in and shower valves.
- Renovated and upgraded the lobby restrooms.
- Added water coolers to the facility.
- Found and corrected problems in the original plumbing system as the renovation progressed.
The result
A complete plumbing renovation delivered with the hotel operating from start to finish, and the original system's problems corrected along the way.
