What plumbing does a kitchen remodel need?
A kitchen remodel may need new drain and supply lines for a moved or added sink, an island sink with proper venting, a pot filler, dishwasher and disposal connections, an ice maker line and a gas line for the range. Ethical Plumbing handles the plumbing and works with your contractor. Call 864-438-0525.

Plan the water before the cabinets
In a kitchen, the plumbing decides where things can go. A sink moved to an island needs a drain with the right slope and a venting method that works without a wall behind it. A pot filler needs a water line run to the range wall before drywall. A refrigerator with ice and water needs a line with an accessible shutoff. Getting these right before cabinets arrive is far cheaper than opening finished work later.
We walk the layout with you and your contractor, replace old supply lines and shutoffs while the space is open, and connect the sink, dishwasher, disposal and faucet once the counters are set.

Kitchen remodel plumbing FAQs
Do you do full kitchen remodels?
No. We handle the plumbing for kitchen remodels and work alongside your contractor.
Can you move my sink to an island?
Usually, yes. An island sink needs a drain route through the floor and a venting method that works without a wall. We check before you commit to the layout.
Can you install a pot filler?
Yes. It needs a water line run to the range wall before drywall and tile.
Do you install refrigerator water lines?
Yes, with a shutoff you can reach and braided or copper tubing instead of plastic.
Should I replace the shutoff valves under the sink?
During a remodel, yes. Old valves often fail when they are finally turned.
Do you install gas lines for ranges?
Yes. We run new gas lines and hook up gas ranges and cooktops. We do not repair the appliances themselves.
How long does kitchen plumbing take?
Rough-in is usually one or two days. Final connections happen after cabinets and counters are set.
Do you work with my contractor?
Yes. We coordinate so the plumbing is ready before cabinets go in and connected after the counters are set.
